This actor had almost returned to Matrix: Resurrections

It is no secret that Matrix Resurrections, the fourth part of the actually completed science fiction trilogy, was not only significantly worse recorded, but also a whole corner was less successful than the producers had hoped. In terms of nostalgia bonus you had with Keanu Reeves at least and Carrie-Anne Moss at least two of the most important original actors at the start.

Who was missing, were Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving. The latter should have been at the time, as it came out. In an interview with IO9 (via Gizmo do) co-author told Aleksander Demon about discarded plans and missed opportunities. Whether the film had been adopted differently is on a different sheet.

The planning around Matrix Resurrections: compromises and changes

Even if the film would not have been much better, many fans would have been pleased about the return of Hugo Weaving as Ballast Agent Smith. Keanu Reeves can not be pulled down from the missing success of Matrix Resurrections and looks forward. The actor is already in conversation for the Hulu series The Devil in the White City.
